Dental Veneers

The aesthetic flaws of your smile may negatively impact your self-esteem and make you feel embarrassed in social situations.

Dental veneers can fix the cosmetic issues of your smile and help boost your confidence.

Learn how Dr. Joan Kirschner can revitalize your smile with dental veneer treatments at our office in Plymouth, NH.

What Are Veneers?

Dental veneers are a cosmetic dentistry treatment that involves placing a wafer-thin shell over the front of a tooth to conceal its aesthetic flaws. Veneers are cemented in place after a layer of enamel is removed from the tooth to make room for the shell.

Our veneers are made of porcelain, a material that provides the most natural-looking results and blends in with the patient's natural teeth.

Benefits of Porcelain Veneers

Long-Lasting

Despite the thin proportions of veneers, the durable dental porcelain we use can withstand the pressures of biting and chewing.

Confidence Boosting

Porcelain veneers can dramatically improve the look of your smile, which can help create a positive first impression in any social situation.

Stain Resistant

In addition to the other perks of using porcelain for our veneers, the material has stain-resistant properties so your smile can remain bright longer.

Natural Appearance

Porcelain veneers are indistinguishable from natural teeth, so they blend in with the rest of your smile.

Porcelain Veneer Timeline

Our veneers are made of porcelain, a material that provides the most natural-looking results and blends in with the patient's natural teeth.

Procedure Steps

Our veneers are made of porcelain, a material that provides the most natural-looking results and blends in with the patient's natural teeth.

Consultation

Our dentist starts every treatment with a thorough consultation, so you can understand all your treatment options before proceeding with porcelain veneers. She will also examine your smile and make sure there are no underlying health issues before moving forward with treatment.

Preparation

Once our dentist determines you are a good fit for veneers, each treated tooth will be prepared by having a layer of enamel removed to make room for the veneers. Our dentist will provide local anesthesia so you can feel more comfortable during the dental procedure.

Crafting

Once your teeth are prepped, your dentist will make an impression of your teeth and send the model to our partner dental lab. An experienced craftsman will create your custom veneers to match the shape, color, and size of your natural teeth.

Temporary Veneers

While your custom veneers are being crafted, you will wear a set of temporary veneers to protect your reshaped teeth. Make sure to avoid biting and chewing hard or chewy foods so your temporary veneers aren't dislodged.

Cementing

When your permanent veneers arrive at our Plymouth office, our dentist will remove your temporary veneers and test the fit of your new custom veneers. She will make any adjustments at this time and wait for your seal of approval before permanently cementing the veneers in place.

Recovery

Once our dentist has cemented your porcelain veneers in place, you can immediately enjoy the results of your new smile. There is virtually no recovery time associated with veneers, but you should wait until any local anesthesia wears off before trying to chew food.

Affordable Financing For Cosmetic Dentistry

The cost of your porcelain veneers will vary depending on the number of teeth and other factors. Insurance typically does not cover the cost of veneers, but our practice offers affordable financing options through CareCredit®. We can offer a personalized quote during your consultation at our office in Plymouth, NH.
