Joan Kirschner, D.D.S.

Dr. Kirschner, a 1983 graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, fell in love with the Granite State on her first visit, and became a principal of Plymouth General Dentistry in 2012.

Dr. Kirschner is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the New Hampshire Dental Society. Attending seminars throughout the the United States enables her to stay abreast of the newest techniques that enhance patient comfort and care.

Rachel Office Manager

Rachel’s legendary smile has been a fixture of our front desk for many years. As our Office Manager, Rachel has exceptional knowledge in all areas of the dental field, and strives to make your patient experience far simpler.

Rachel, who enjoys cooking in her spare time, resides with her husband in the Meredith area. 

Kara Certified Dental Assistant, C.D.A

Kara has been with Plymouth General Dentistry for over sixteen years (having joined our team while in high school). Her warm smile and contagious laughter are key components in helping our patients to relax. Kara enjoys putting our patients at ease, and seeing the beautiful smiles that are created.

Crafts, baking and watching my daughter discover the world around her.

How important is your smile to you?

I like to start every conversation with a positive note and a smile helps me do that. I want my patients to feel the same way.

Originally from Plattsburgh, NY


How long have you been working at PGD?
About one year.


What is your favorite place you’ve vacationed?
I visited Ireland a long time ago, it was an amazing trip.


What is your dream vacation?
I would love to see different places in Europe starting with Scotland.


What are your hobbies? 
I enjoy kayaking and bicycling when the weather is good, but when it isn’t, I like to read and sew.


Why do you love working at PGD?
I love the atmosphere of camaraderie at our small office and the relationships we have with our patients!


How important is your smile to you?
My smile is very important to me because it gives me confidence that helps me connect with people. 


Marilyn Practice Coordinator

Marilyn joined our team in February of 2016.  Her vocation has been in the dental workforce since 2000, and brought with her a vast amount of knowledge when it comes to coordinating visits with our patients.  

In her free time, Marilyn enjoys creating stained glass items, four-wheeling, and motorcycling.

Where are you originally from?
Born in Rhode Island, lived there until age 3. Lived in Plainville, Massachusetts until age 8 then my family moved to the Lakes Region of NH.


What are your hobbies? 
Yoga & barre, hiking, kayaking, and photography 


How long have you been working at PGD?
August 27th will be one year. I will be leaving shortly after to go to dental hygiene school but it would be a dream come true to return after as a hygienist.


Why do you love working at PGD?
It’s such a positive atmosphere — different than any place I’ve ever worked. We work hard but make it fun too. Everybody is a team player that wants the best for the office and their patients. Dr. K is a wonderful boss who really makes the staff feel like members of her family. 


How important is your smile to you?
My smile is super important to me. It’s a huge part of how I communicate and interact with people. I take pride in my smile because a healthy mouth is essential to overall health.

I love working at PGD because of the caring atmosphere and the bond with Dr.K and her employees. Feels like family.

Hiking, house projects, spending time with my dogs, family and friends.

My smile is important to me because I feel like when I smile it improves my mental and physical health and encourages others to smile too.
